Biography

Steven Shulman received his Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst in 1984. He joined the faculty of Colorado State University that year as an assistant professor of economics. He was promoted to associate professor in 1989 and to full professor in 1994. Currently, he is department chair. Dr. Shulman's primary field of specialization is labor economics. He has published three books and over twenty-five scholarly articles and book chapters, mostly on economic inequality between African Americans and European Americans. Click here for his detailed resume. Dr. Shulman has received the College of Liberal Arts Excellence in Teaching Award and a Kellogg National Fellowship, among other awards.
