Biography

Dr. Sawsan Abdulrahim is an Associate Professor and Chair of the Department of Health Promotion and Community Health at the American University of Beirut. Her research interests include social inequalities and health, the measurement of socioeconomic position in health research, the cultural meanings of subjective evaluations of health, and the health of immigrants, migrant workers, and long term refugees. Dr. Abdulrahim received her PhD in Health Promotion and Community Health from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor in 2005.
