Biography

Tsotzil language speaker, Rosa Lopez completed only high school studies, however, in 2005, the community leaders of Zinacantan, appointed her as health community Coordinator because of her proved leadership and for her wide knowledge of Spanish. She works providing health and education workshops for women of the municipality of Mitontic, State of Chiapas, through the project Joint Activities with Different Actors, to prevent death and save lives of women in reproductive age. Her medium-term goal is to strengthen her leadership skills to execute health workshops in more communities of Chiapas. Rosa Maria colabora en organización SAKIL NICHIM ANTSETIK e trabaja con los temas de género, interculturalidad, derechos de salud sexual reproductivo con jóvenes VIH, ITS, MATRIMONIO FORZADO, Prevencion del Embarazo en adolecentes y con parteras tradicionales, textil, artesanias, mermeladas caseras shampoo naturales, proyecto socio ambiental.
