Biography

Sandra E. Echeverría, PhD is an Assistant Professor of Epidemiology in the School of Public Health at Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey. Dr. Echeverría's research focuses on the social determinants of health generally, and more specifically on risk factors associated with smoking and physical inactivity and designing interventions to reduce physical activity disparities in racially/ethnically diverse groups. She received her Ph.D. in Epidemiology from Columbia University , Mailman School of Public Health, in 2006.
