Using the guiding question: How do we build a nation in which all children thrive?, we will address many of the top multi-sectoral issues you identified, from Education to Equity to Health and Food Systems. Ready to get involved? We’re looking for thought partners to design an innovative and action-oriented Forum 2016. Email martha@kfla.org to join us.
Forum is KFLA’s flagship event, bringing fellows and key collaborative partners together across disciplines for a three-day convening where participants connect, renew, and leverage their combined resources.
Provocative questions drive Forum’s cross-cutting programming, spark participants’ curiosity and evade easy answers. These questions are your points of entry to intersecting programming that requires a systems-wide approach. Forum’s bold and risk taking design inspires mobilization with others across areas of expertise.
According to our survey of 221 Kellogg Fellows, the top four topic areas for Forum 2016 so far are (from most to least responses):
- Sustainability & Equity (Including agriculture, food systems, environment, development, etc.)
- Health Disparities & Systems (Including healthcare access, food systems, sustainability, etc.)
- "K-20"/Youth Development (Including youth, higher ed. pipeline, "school-to-prison pipeline", etc.)
- Migration (Including immigration, border issues, demographic changes, etc.)
We appreciate all of the input we have received from fellows so far, and look forward to hearing more from you during the planning process and, of course, at Forum 2016 next fall!
