Biography

Eric is an established leader utilizing his experience in policy work, entrepreneurialism and on-the-ground resident engagement to deconstruct the conventional definition and image of leadership, which often excludes those at the grassroots level. He lives and works in his home town of Grand Rapids as founder and principal of Progress Strategies+, a project management consultancy that serves organizations, businesses and nonprofit groups in the areas of diversity and inclusion, community engagement, public policy and advocacy. He is also a community governance coach and project manager for Seeds of Promise, a hyper-local initiative that trains resident leaders to self-govern their neighborhoods.
