The Ted-x Talk I did on Schools of the Future was a shortened version of a 90-minute presentation I’ve been doing around the country and the world for the last few years, so I was completely comfortable with the content and the emphasis points after so much practice. The timing, however, was difficult, since I did want to cover all the basic themes in a much shorter (20+ minutes) format. So I ended up rushing the finish. And unlike film where there are many takes and the best moments spliced together, the Ted Talk environment is one at bat, to either get on base or strike out. The opportunity to share an important message with the world is, of course, a huge incentive.
