Gilbert is an emerging leader and director of student support at the Health Leadership High School, a charter school committed to growing professionals able to create a healthier community. As a social worker, Gilbert designs and implements projects in public schools that help youth find their promise and build their skills. He has seen the young people with whom he has worked achieve their personal and professional goals. Gilbert has worked extensively in the area of gang intervention and has been published multiple times on the subject, while also building expertise supporting students in special education and encouraging young fathers to be engaged parents.
