Biography

Larry is an emerging leader serving as the CEO of Brothers Empowered to Teach (BE2T). BE2T works to incentivize young males of color to teach in urban schools and to close the achievement gap by providing a continuum of black male success in New Orleans. Larry has a strong network comprised of education advocates and field partners, community leaders and private and public organizations committed to public education reform, public policy and community engagement. Having grown up as a vulnerable youth, Larry has faced many of the same challenges as the young men he currently serves.
