Jolon is an emerging leader who serves as Schools First project director for the Juvenile Justice Project of Louisiana (JPPL). Jolon’s work focuses on altering the school-to-prison pipeline in New Orleans and other advocacy to reform school disciplinary policies. She has broadened the conversation on exclusionary school discipline to include new audiences and partners, including Teach for America and local faith-based organizations.
