Biography

Emily is an emerging leader and director of community programming for the Wilson Charter School in the Broadmoor neighborhood of New Orleans. In this role she coordinates programs for youth, adults and senior citizens, spearheads parental involvement and recruits and places community volunteers. She is one of the primary community leaders driving the vision for the Broadmoor Education Corridor which is anchored by Wilson School, Keller Library and Community Center and the future Broadmoor Arts and Wellness Center. Broadmoor’s redevelopment process has become a nationally-recognized model for citizen-led recovery and has been trumpeted as an example of racially and socioeconomically equitable recovery.
