Biography

Licenciada en psicología por la Universidad Anáhuac de Yucatán y maestra en Liderazgo Educativo por McGill University, en Montreal, Canada, es oriunda de Tuxtla Gutiérrez, Chiapas, México. Actualmente, colabora con KFLA como coordinadora de la red de fellows en América Latina el Caribe. Previamente estuvo al frente de la dirección de proyectos del Museo de la Ciudad de Tuxtla Gutiérrez. Anteriormente se desempeñó como supervisora estatal de Programas de Desarrollo Social de Fundación Bancomer, donde por 5 años estuvo al frente del programa de becas en Chiapas. Tiene una amplia trayectoria académica y profesional donde destaca haber concebido Liga Lab, ideas que unen en Chiapas, organización que trabaja en el estado para fomentar la participación ciudadana. Carmen stá comprometida con la justicia social, los derechos de mujeres y niñas y la participación ciudadana. Carmen is a native of Tuxtla Gutierrez, Chiapas, Mexico. She has a degree in Psychology by the Anahuac University of Yucatan and recently earned her master's degree in Integrated Studies in Education, specializing in Educational Leadership at McGill University in Montreal, Canada. She is KFLA's Program Coordinator for Latin America and the Caribbean. She was previously in charge of the project management of the Museum of the City of Tuxtla Gutierrez. She also served as program coordinator for the Social Development area of the Bancomer Foundation, where for 5 years she was in charge of the scholarship program in Chiapas. She has extensive academic and professional career which highlights have conceived Liga Lab, ideas que unen, an organization in Chiapas that fosters civic engagement in the region. She is passionate about and committed to social justice, women's rights and civic engagement.
