Biography

Dr. Paola Morello completed her medical studies in Buenos Aires, Argentina in 1989. She trained as a pediatrician at the National Children’s Center in Buenos Aires and moved to the US where she pursued a three-year fellowship in Adolescent Medicine at the Johns Hopkins Hospital, Baltimore, MD. Dr Morello received a Master in Public Health from Johns Hopkins School of Public Health in 1999 through a Kellogg Foundation Scholarship. She has been working on tobacco control for the last 12 years. She was a consultant for the Pan American Health Organization (PAHO) and the Institute for Global Tobacco Control. She has written several articles and published several short books on tobacco prevention for PAHO and the Argentinean Ministry of Health. Dr Morello has been a consultant for the National Tobacco Control Program in Argentina for the last seven years. She is one of the Program’s leaders in providing technical assistance for implementing smoke free places programs throughout Argentina. Dr Morello completed a Master in Medical Journalism in 2008. Dr. Morello is fluent in English, Spanish, French and Italian.
