Biography

Latrice Pichon completed her PhD from the Joint Doctoral Program in Public Health (Health Behavior) at San Diego State University and the University of California, San Diego in August 2008. Dr. Pichon also holds a Master in Public Health from San Diego State University and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology Pre-Medicine from Xavier University of Louisiana. Dr. Pichon completed her Kellogg fellowship at the University of Michigan, School of Public Health training site. Her research focuses on exploring the role of the faith-based community in addressing HIV awareness and prevention, partnering with community-based organizations to understand HIV outreach, care, and utilization needs among vulnerable populations, and using the application of community-based participatory research (CBPR) approaches. She is currently an Assistant Professor at the University of Memphis School of Public Health.
