Biography

Darlene Wright, President & Co-founder of Alaska Technology & Development Group (ATDG) formally recognized as Bista Associates (1982-2002) to provide community and organizational development consultant services throughout Alaska. Darlene Wright and Richard ‘Michael’ Romer re-organized under Alaska Technology & Development Group in 2003 with the goal of promote affordable access to broadband telecommunications services and technology training for rural Alaskan villages. Prior to his death in 2005, Michael Romer’s vision was not only to promote access to affordable communications services but to encourage interested Alaska Native and American Indians to develop careers in computer technology and the broadband communications industry. Ms. Wright posses a BA in Rural Development from the University of Alaska and 20 years of professional experience directly relating to community/organizational/program development planning, human resource development and program/project evaluation. She both designs training curriculum and implements on-site training sessions; facilitates strategic planning processes; and on-site conducts project/program evaluation services. Ms. Wright has completed all coursework required for a MA Rural development from the University of Alaska with the expectation of a 2008 graduation after completing her thesis.
