Biography

Anthropologist Jack Weatherford's books on history and culture have been published in twenty-five languages. He resides in his native Charleston, South Carolina and in his adopted home on the eastern slope of Bogd Khan Mountain in Mongolia where he writes and supports Mongolian culture (www.jwf.mn) and publishing Mongolian translations of authors including Barack Obama and Aung San Suu Kyi. He received the Order of the Polar Star and Mongolian Friendship Medal from the Mongolian government, the Order of Sucre from Bolivia, as well as honorary degrees in the U. S. and Mongolia.
