Biography

Susan Johnson Warner, RN, Ed.D, is a Professor of Nursing at St. Cloud State University in St. Cloud, MN. She was founding director of St. Cloud State’s nursing program, which was launched in 2001. Susan was honored as one of the University of Minnesota School of Nursing’s 100 Distinguished Alumni at the school’s Centennial Gala in November, 2009. The award, made on the occasion of the school’s 100th anniversary celebration, recognized alumni who have profoundly impacted families, communities or the nursing profession. Warner was nominated for her involvement in preserving and expanding nursing programs at several universities, impacting health policy at the national level and expanding and developing educational opportunities for underserved and disadvantaged students in rural communities.
