Biography

In reflection about my years at Colorado College, I relate especially to the poem that states: “…I have a past that is rich in memories. I have a present that is challenging, adventurous, and fun because I am allowed to spend my days with the future (Schlatter). My newest title is Professor of Global Teaching and Learning, which is an outgrowth of the program I direct which encourages our students to engage in international teaching. In my capacities as teacher, scholar, mentor, and administrator, I work with “the future” represented by the adults and children who are engaged in education in its broadest sense. It is my professional and personal goal to contribute substantively to a more thoughtful, purposeful, and positive experience for all of the “audiences” with which I interact. I am grateful for the opportunity to do so.
