Biography

Angelica P. Herrera-Venson, DrPH, MPH is a Senior Research Analyst / Project Manager at New Editions Consulting, Inc. in Falls Church, VA. Dr. Herrera has 15 years of experience in community-based research, epidemiology, and project management as a public health gerontologist with advanced training in geriatric psychiatry and health and aging policy. She is published in the areas of family caregiving, depression, diabetes and long-term care in vulnerable and minority senior populations. Her recent projects have focused on the quality of diabetes care for older adults and hospital care transition needs of high-risk seniors in subsidized housing. For New Editions, Dr. Herrera manages projects for the National Institute on Disability and Rehabilitation Research (NIDRR) and the Administration for Community Living (ACL). Prior to her role at New Editions, Dr. Herrera was an Assistant Professor at the University of Maryland Baltimore County and a Health and Aging Policy Fellow with the Health and Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) at the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS). She managed a health disparities research program for a federally qualified community health center and a cancer prevention program.
