Mr. Felix Finisterre has played a key role in shaping tourism in St. Lucia and the Caribbean, with a specific focus on spreading the benefits of tourism more equitably within local communities. He was Deputy Director of the St. Lucia Tourist Board, then established the award-winning St. Lucia Heritage Tourism Programme – an alternative tourism model designed to attract and make linkages with the tourism industry to rural livelihoods. Felix served as Minister of Communications, Works and Transport in the Government of St. Lucia between 2001 and 2006. He now works across the Caribbean as a consultant on environmental and tourism related projects.
