Biography

Betsy Brigantti, Ph.D., is an experienced health care manager with extensive knowledge of the managed care industry. Dr. Brigantti has worked in program development, implementation, and evaluation, specifically database management. From 2005–2011, Dr. Brigantti was the Director, Occupational Health, for Consolidated Edison in the New York Metro area. In this position she oversaw the day-to-day operations of an employee work readiness program with 60 clinicians and allied health professionals, with a 4 million dollar departmental budget. From 1992 until she began her doctoral studies in 2000, Dr. Brigantti worked as the Manager for Health Education Services in the Health Promotion and Disease Management Department of HIP Health Plans in New York City. Dr. Brigantti received her doctoral degree from Johns Hopkins University, Bloomberg School of Hygiene and Public Health. She is also a graduate of Hunter College with an M.P.H. in Community Health Education and New York University, Robert F. Wagner graduate School of Public Service with an M.S. in Health Services Management.
