John worked for the Ministry of Agriculture until he retired from public service after for 25 years. At the time of his departure, he was Deputy Director of the Department of Animal Production. He now lectures on poultry and pig sciences at both the undergraduate and graduate levels at Botswana College of Agriculture. John also supervises undergraduate and postgraduate research projects. He has published 70 scientific papers in peer reviewed journals. He is a member of Editorial Boards of 10 Journals and also a reviewer for a host of journals. He is an author of two books: Guinea fowl production and Calcium requirements for broiler breeders. In addition, he chairs the Animal Feed Technical Committee of Botswana’s Bureau of Standards and has been actively involved in the dissemination of information on animal feed standards across the country through workshops and seminars.
