Biography

Linetta is the Managing Partner of Gilbert & Associates, LLC, a for profit management consulting firm based in New Orleans, Louisiana. Her clients include non profit, corporate boards and as well as community leadership across the US. Recently, she served as co-leader and program developer of The Declaration Initiative, which works at the national level to motivate leaders and communities across America to ensure that the poorest have access to the promises of life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. For nine years she was a senior program officer at the Ford Foundation, specializing in programming and grantmaking for community philanthropy and civic culture around the world. Linetta’s work focuses on expanding the definition and implementation of community philanthropy as a vehicle for various types of philanthropic capital focused on community betterment. Linetta holds a B.A.in history and political science from Howard University.
