Biography

Carrie is a longtime consultant and business analyst who has worked around the globe to deploy strategic business processes into the cloud and empower organizations to more effectively react and adapt to their ever-evolving marketplace. Carrie’s primary focus in in the social enterprise space, but also has experience working in a variety of capacities within multiple industries, including non-profit, microfinance, higher education, real estate and healthcare. In recent years, Carrie has focused a large part of her time consulting for Street Soccer USA. SSUSA uses soccer to help homeless people get off the streets and into jobs, education and housing. Through weekly practices and games, a support network is built and strengthened, providing a channel though which training is provided, opportunities are presented and friendships are formed. Carrie has a broad background in economic development solutions for non-profit organizations and social enterprises. Carrie spent two years working for VisionSpring, a social enterprise dedicated to training entrepreneurs to start their own micro-franchises selling low-cost reading glasses. She traveled throughout Africa and Latin America in order to identify and train entrepreneurs. Prior to joining VisionSpring, Carrie lived in Guatemala, serving as Country Director for Community Enterprise Solutions, a non-profit organization that creates sustainable work opportunities through micro-consignment and other small business ventures She has developed innovative marketing and sales strategies for rural entrepreneurs and has helped many entrepreneurs to establish and grow their businesses through training and support. Carrie received her B.S. in Business Administration and B.A. in Geography from Miami University in Ohio. Now living in Denver, she has lived, studied and worked in such diverse locations as New York City, Boston, San Francisco, Guatemala, and Ecuador.
