Biography

Angelina Martínez was born in San Antonio Cuajimoloyas, State of Oaxaca, Angelina holds a BA in Tourism from the Institute of Higher Education of the Gulf of Mexico, State of Oaxaca. She belongs to the zapotec ethnic group. Angelina was awarded with the Rosario Castellanos women´s studies group scholarship to continue her academic career. She has worked in the Ministry of Culture and the Ministry of Tourism of the State of Oaxaca, and the Tourism Office in the Municipality of San Antonio Cuajimoloyas. She has participated in several workshops concerning youth, gender equality, social development, and communication. Moreover, Angelina conducts two radio programs, “Youth Path” and “Youth Power Radio” in Oaxaca where she promotes academic and professional opportunities to young people from Oaxaca.
