Biography

Dr. Jamie Chatman is a Kellogg Health Scholar with a Postdoctoral Research Fellowship at the University of Pittsburgh, Dr. Chatman completed her Master's and PhD in Statistics from Rice University in September 2008. She obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics from Spelman College in Atlanta in 2003. Dr. Chatman is interested in using her statistical and quantitative skills to conduct health disparities research that can be translated into better intervention strategies within minority communities. She has collaborated and published research on racial and gender difference in access to substance abuse services among Medicaid adolescents.
