Biography

Jim Wood retired in 2002 from a career in banking and finance that extended over almost 50 years and included the Bank of New York, Kemper Securities and Solomon Smith Barney. At present, he a director of Curtis Instruments, a manufacturer of speed controllers for electrical vehicles. Jim's commitment to his community includes Board service with agencies as wide ranging as: -- Lions Club -- Bedford Farmers Club -- Bedford Hills Historical Society -- The American Bible Society -- Haverford and Bryn Mawr Colleges -- Jewish Foundation for the Education of Women -- Mt. Kisco Child Care Center -- Westchester County Historical Society -- Bedford 2020, whose mission is to reduce carbon emissions by the year 2020, and to work for progressive political candidates. With his wife, Twink, he is a Kendal on Hudson resident.
