Biography

I stayed on at Greater Lawrence Family Health Center, Exec Director of Merrimack Valley AHEC, until Sept 2005. Then I continued as a consultant (still do), both to AHEC in Lawrence, and the Statewide network of AHEC centers based at UMass Medical Center in Worcester, MA. Mainly work around multiculturalism and cultural competency issues in health care. I finished my PhD in Public Policy in 2004 (UMass/Boston). Thesis titled: "Why Act? The Roots and Potential of Precautionary Environmental Action in Three Vermont Watersheds". I attribute successfully completing the PhD directly to the Fellowship program. Have used some of my research skills locally on various groups such as local Planning Commission, Environmental Commission, Regional groups, etc. Currently direct Tannery Wildlife Refuge in Dover, Vermont.
