Biography

Dr. Donna L. Burgraff is currently an Associate Professor at the Chillicothe Campus of Ohio University. She previously served as dean of the campus and was also at one time the Dean of the College of Business, Education, and Professional Studies and a Professor of Education at Southwest Minnesota State University. Dr. Burgraff has spent her entire career in education, teaching in the public schools and in higher education achieving tenure. Her past administrative experience includes directing a federal program, overseeing a college campus, directing an off campus distance education center, and as an assistant college dean. She has a B.A. in English with a German minor and an M.A. in counseling both from Eastern Kentucky University, an M.S. in Adult Education from Marshall University and her doctorate in education administration from West Virginia University. Dr. Burgraff has published articles in three national journals, and authored a chapter, “Leadership Lessons in Rock Climbing” in the book, “Leading from the Heart: The Passion to Make a Difference.” Additionally, she has made presentations on the local, state, regional and national levels. Dr. Burgraff was awarded a prestigious W. K. Kellogg Foundation National Leadership Fellowship. During her fellowship Dr. Burgraff traveled around the world studying cultural transmission. She is a lifetime member of the Girl Scouts and a native of Appalachia, a culture she is extremely proud to come from.
