Biography

Suzanne Dolwick Grieb, PhD, MSPH, is a faculty Research Associate at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine in the Center for Child and Community Health Research. Suzanne received a PhD in anthropology from the University of Florida in 2009 with a specialization in medical anthropology, and in 2002 she received a MSPH from the University of South Florida with a concentration in tropical and communicable diseases. Through her research, she seeks to gain a better understanding of the social determinants of sexually transmitted infections (STIs) that produce health disparities. Particularly, she is interested in how social, political, and economical structures shape social and sexual networks and relationships in ways that protect against or create vulnerability to negative sexual health outcomes, and how these can be addressed through community mobilization and structural interventions.
