Biography

J. Regan Thomas, M.D., FACS, is the Mansueto Professor and Department Head, of the Department of Otolaryngology - Head & Neck Surgery. He is a board certified facial plastic and reconstructive surgeon who specializes in rhinoplasty (cosmetic surgery of the nose), blepharoplasty (cosmetic surgery of the eyelids), and facelift (or rhytidectomy and cosmetic facial surgery) in addition to multiple other cosmetic and reconstructive surgical procedures of the face, head, and neck. Dr. Thomas is an internationally recognized facial plastic surgeon and is a frequent speaker and teacher at medical meetings, courses, and conferences. He has authored 200scientific papers and publications including 5 textbooks on facial plastic surgery. Dr. Thomas practices facial plastic surgery in Chicago . He is the past president of the American Board of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery; past president of the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, and past president of the American Academy of Otolaryngology - Head & Neck Surgery. Dr. Thomas graduated from the University of Missouri School of Medicine, completed internship at Yale University Medical Center, and a residency in Otolaryngology - Head & Neck Surgery at the University of Missouri School of Medicine. He completed a fellowship in facial plastic and reconstructive surgery through Northwestern University and is board certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology and the American Board of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery.
