Biography

James Teri has B.Sc. degree in Agriculture from Makerere University, Kampala & M.S. & PhD degrees from Cornell University, Ithaca, NY. He has been a Professor at Sokoine University of Agriculture (Tanzania) and the University of Swaziland with more than 30 years in teaching and research in Tanzania and in the region. He is the founding/first Chief Executive Director of the Tanzania Coffee Research Institute (TaCRI) that became legally constituted and operational in September 2001 as a stakeholder owned and managed coffee research institute to contribute to a profitable and sustainable coffee industry in Tanzania.
