Biography

Kalahn Taylor-Clark, PhD, MPH, serves as Associate Vice President and Global Head, Patient Engagement Strategy at the Center of Excellence for Patient Centricity at Sanofi, focusing on patient centricity in innovative health systems, and aligning the "business model" with consumers' needs, values, and preferences. Prior to her current position, Kalahn was Senior Health Policy Advisor at George Mason University, Center for Health Policy Research and Ethics. Kalahn has broad experience in the areas of minority health and health care equity. As policy director for the National Partnership for Women and Families, she led the strategic policy direction on payment and delivery reform and oversees the shaping and implementing of the policy agenda for their major initiative, the Campaign for Better Care. She also served as Senior Advisor to the Medicaid and CHIP Payment and Access Commission, for which she provided guidance to Congress on issues of disparities in the Medicaid population. Prior to joining NPWF, Dr. Tyalor-Clark led the health care disparities efforts in the Engelberg Center of Healthcare Reform at the Brookings Institution. Previously, she was a W.K. Kellogg Health Scholar at Harvard University, where her areas of research included public health communication in politically and socially marginalized populations and minority voting on healthcare issues.
