Sullivan, Michelle Director, Center for Inspired Learning Environments – Wyoming Michelle M. Sullivan is director of CenterILE (Center for Inspired Learning Environments) and principal of Sullivan & Associates, a private firm that assists philanthropists, private foundations and nonprofits to maximize their effectiveness and to achieve their goals. She also serves as a trustee of the University of Wyoming, the only four-year University in Wyoming. Sullivan served as president of the Ucross Foundation in 2004 and 2005. During that time she oversaw the operation of a 22,000-acre cattle ranch, a residential artists' retreat and conference facility. From 2000 through 2004, she was vice -president and director of Wyoming operations for the Daniels Fund, a private foundation in the Rocky Mountain West, established by the late cable entrepreneur Bill Daniels. From 1997 through 1999, Ms. Sullivan served as a senior associate at the Aspen Institute's Community Strategies Group and Global Interdependence Initiative. In 1988, Michelle founded the Snake River Institute in Jackson Hole, an organization that presented educational programs that celebrated the cultures and communities of the American West. Sullivan served on the Wyoming State Board of Education from 2002 through 2007 and is currently a trustee of the Homer & Mildred Scott Foundation and the Foundation for Community Vitality. Ms. Sullivan earned a master's in Education from Harvard University in 2011. She was awarded a Kellogg National Fellowship in 1997. Over the course of her three-year fellowship she examined the leadership issues that emerge out of cross-cultural conflict. She was a Loeb Fellow at Harvard University in 1995 and 1996. In 1995, she was also awarded an honorary doctorate from the Colorado College for her work to develop the Snake River Institute.
