Biography

Jackelyn Lundy, Ph.D. in Economics and KNFP-12, is currently the owner-operator of a 40-acre organic farm specializing in innovative products and farming systems. Previously, she held a faculty position at the University of California at Santa Cruz where she was the Director of the Center for Agroecology and Sustainable Farming Systems and taught in Economics and Environmental Studies. With the legal help from the Equal Rights Advocates of San Francisco, she was one of the first test cases for the new Family Leave Act and successfully challenged her wrongful termination by UCSC while on maternity leave. Dr Lundy also has held research and Extension positions with UC Davis and has worked with numerous nonprofits and co-ops as a management consultant and on the Board of Directors.
