Biography

Deborah has more than 20 years of experience in philanthropy and community relations. In her current consulting work, she is advising corporate and private foundation clients on a range of issues related to philanthropic strategy, grants management, and corporate citizenship. She is based in New York and her areas of expertise include community needs assessment, strategic planning, program development and implementation, and evaluation. Prior to relocating to New York in 1996, Deborah was the Executive Director of the Levi Strauss Foundation, where she oversaw a global grants program of over $20 million. Before joining Levi Strauss & Co., Deborah was a senior program officer at the Kresge Foundation in Troy, Michigan. Deborah is a graduate of Notre Dame University and holds a M.A. from the Washington University School of Engineering in St. Louis. She has also completed a three-year national leadership fellowship awarded by the W. K. Kellogg Foundation.
