Biography

In August 2014, Charlene Gilbert assumed her appointment as Dean and Director of the Lima Campus of The Ohio State University. Ms. Gilbert most recently served as professor and chair of the Department of Women's, Gender and Sexuality Studies at the University of Toledo. While at Toledo, Ms. Gilbert founded the School of Interdisciplinary Studies, College of Languages, Literature and Social Sciences and served as the director of the Catharine S. Eberly Center for Women. Prior to that, she was appointed as an associate professor in the School of Communication at American University. Dean Gilbert's research interests focus on documentary film making.
