Biography

The Southern University and A&M College System Board of Supervisors, Friday January 6, installed officers for 2017 and held a swearing-in ceremony for newly appointed members during its regular monthly meeting. Leroy Davis, of Baker, is a retired professor and dean of Southern University and Agricultural and Mechanical College. Additionally, Davis is a former mayor and councilman of the City of Baker. He received a bachelor of science degree from the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff, a master of science degree from the University of Illinois, and a doctoral degree from the University of Illinois. He will serve as a representative of the 2nd Congressional District.
