Biography

Sandra Daley received her medical degree from the University of California, San Diego, trained in her subspecialty at UCSD Medical Center, and is now professor of pediatrics at her own alma mater. Her commitment to UCSD does not stop at her own doorstep. Daley is active in preparing students from population groups at risk for adverse health outcomes to compete successfully for entry into and graduation from health professions schools. Daley is experienced in bringing people and agencies together to deliver health and social services in an efficient, cost-effective way in order to improve the lives of children and their families. She is known for implementing innovative, school-linked health care delivery models that address the tough issues of limited health care access. She works to introduce young doctors to the skills needed to work with individuals, groups, and agencies that are essential partners when dealing with problems in community settings.
