Biography

Nkechy is an established leader in early childhood education (ECE), both at the local, state and international levels. She leads the Early Learning Neighborhood Collaborative (ELNC), a coalition of community-based nonprofits from Grand Rapids’ urban core. ELNC collaborates to increase and sustain the number of quality Early Childhood Education slots and to ensure local decision makers hear parents’ voices. Nkechy is the Lead Facilitator for a family owned Full Service Consulting Company - PONA Consulting L3C. Nkechy is also a tenured associate professor of education and director of early childhood education at Aquinas College. She earned Doctor of Education from Nova Southeastern University, Florida in Curriculum Development and Systemic Change.
