Biography

Mario is an emerging leader, a graduate of the Urban Core Collective Transformational Leaders Program and a youth advocate and gang specialist with the Hispanic Center of Western Michigan’s Supporting Our Leaders Program. Mario changed career path to answer his calling to serve marginalized youth and their families by holistically addressing their physical, emotional, educational and spiritual needs. He also works with systems that surround youth, such as schools, after-school providers, and churches, providing cultural and gang awareness training and advocating for equitable access and policies that affect children.
