Biography

Kurt is the director of advancement for Camp Restore, a volunteer camp located in New Orleans East. Camp Restore fosters cultural exchange, increased understanding and civic action. Kurt is an emerging leader with experience in community redevelopment. He is a founding board member of APEX Youth Center (Always Pursuing Excellence) in the city’s Broadmoor and Central City neighborhoods. The center serves at-risk youth. He believes that perhaps the greatest and most lasting impact we can make for the youth of today and tomorrow is to bring people together and heal the rifts in our country that are the source of so much suffering.
