Biography

Efraín Martínez was born in Cuetzalan, State of Puebla, Efrain holds a BA in informatics from the Development University of State of Puebla. His areas of interest are financial management, innovation in rural finance, microfinance, credit and savings services, rural micro banks, credit evaluation, business plans, management and rural economic development. Efrain was president of the union of cooperatives “Tosepan Titataniske”, an indigenous organization that produces coffee, pepper and organic honey in the northeast mountains of the State of Puebla. As the president of the union of cooperatives Tosepan, Efrain has organized labor for the people in 320 communities, in 23 municipalities, in the northeastern highlands of the state of Puebla. Under his leadership he has been able to shape the production of coffee and other products that help the farmers in the state of Puebla. As counsel to the advisory board of the Commission, CDI he has made it possible to advocate for Nahuatl and Totonacas cultures. He works on behalf the Nahuatl and Totonacas cultures in the region. Currently he is working at the Sistema Producto Café in the State of Puebla and is studying a master on Gestion en Empresas de Economia Social in the Universidad Ibero Puebla.
