Biography

Patricia MacCorquodale, Ph.D. (KNFP 06) is Dean Emerita of the Honors College and Professor of Gender and Women's Studies at the University of Arizona. She received a BA from Carleton College and a MS and PhD in Sociology from University of Wisconsin. Her teaching specialties include social psychology, gender roles, sexuality, and race and ethnic relations. Her scholarship focuses upon women lawyers, gender in non-traditional fields (science, math and engineering), and ethnically diverse students in Higher Education. She designed and initiated the Honors Civic Leadership Academy that trains high ability students to become leaders in their communities. She also has taught civic engagement courses at the university level and supervised interns throughout the Tucson community. She was a 2016-2017 Public Voices fellow in the Tucson community.
