Biography

Lorenzo D. Harrison began his OLMS career in May 2013 as the Director of the Office of Program Operations (OPO). The OPO director is responsible for the management, operation, and direction of OLMS program operations, including oversight of the OLMS Division of Reports and Disclosure and Audits. Prior to joining OLMS, Mr. Harrison, via the Department of Labor’s executive loan program, worked on New York City’s $127 million Young Men’s Initiative. Previously he served as the Deputy Director and Acting Deputy Assistant Secretary of the Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) from 2009 to 2011, at which time he oversaw over 550 staff and an $80 million budget. Previous to his tenure at OFCCP, Mr. Harrison spent seven years as the Administrator of the Office of Youth Services at the Department of Labor’s Employment Training Administration. There he managed the nation's youth employment training system and oversaw the establishment of the first youth office at the Department in more than a generation. Prior to that, he spent twelve years working on nonprofit employment and training programs at the local level, including service as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of STRIVE-East Harlem Employment Services, Inc., a nationally acclaimed non-profit employment, training and placement organization.
