Biography

In January 2012, Mike became the Director of Safety Services for the City of Chillicothe, OH. In this position, he serves as the appointing authority for the Chillicothe Police and Fire Departments and leads the City's safety service department which includes street and building maintenance along with city services such as snow removal, garbage collection, and nuisance abatement. In addition, he currently serves a dual role as interim director of the City's transit system. Green formerly worked at Ohio University-Chillicothe as director of continuing education and workforce development and, during the past 25 years, has been involved in community/economic development starting three non-profits, leading fundraising and development efforts, creating housing opportunities with Habitat for Humanity, volunteering on economic development projects, City Planning, and worked in banking, financial services, and non-profit management.
