Biography

Michael J Churgin Raybourne Thompson Centennial Professor JD 1973, Yale AB 1970, Brown University A specialist in criminal procedure, mental health law, and immigration, Professor Churgin also teaches in the Mental Health Clinic. In addition to multiple articles and chapters, he is the author of An Analysis of the Texas Mental Health Code (Hogg Foundation, 2d ed., 1994) and co-author of Toward a Just and Effective Sentencing System (Praeger, 1977). He has been a visiting fellow at both Clare Hall and Wolfson College, Cambridge University, and most recently Quatercentenary Visiting Fellow at Emmanuel College.
