Biography

Dr. Kristopher Chrishon is an Assistant Professor in the Division of Clinical and Administrative Sciences. Dr. Chrishon received his MA in General Psychology from The Catholic University of America and an MPH in Health Behavior and Health Education from The University of Michigan. He completed his doctoral studies in Epidemiology at Columbia University's Mailman School of Public Health where he was a 2001 W.K Kellogg Health Scholar in Health Policy Research. Following his graduate studies, Dr. Chrishon was the Paul B. Cornely Post Doctoral Scholar at the Center for Research on Ethnicity Culture and Health (CRECH) at the University Of Michigan School Of Public Health. Prior to joining Xavier, Dr. Chrishon worked for two years as a Consortium Research Fellow at the Army Research Institute for the Behavioral and Social Sciences. He worked for one year as a Senior Research Professional in the Geriatrics Section of the Department of Medicine at the University of Chicago. He also worked at the Louisiana Maternal and Child Health Program, Office of Public Health. In this position, he served as the Needs Assessment Epidemiologist for the Title V Needs Assessment that the Maternal and Child Health program undertakes every 5 years.
