During 2007, when most schools were shut down due to extreme inflation and a shortage of resources to run institutions, I dropped out of college and went back to my community. There, I initiated community improvement projects. The community formed an association to pull together resources to support these projects and I became one of the leaders driving the programs. In October 2007, I joined the KSAL programme. I gained a lot and was transformed through the leadership workshops. Now, I am able to lead, initiate, and advocate improvements to my community. I am motivated to improve myself and no longer fear my impulses. I have learned to invest in people and help them achieve their capacity. Before KSAL, I had achieved an A' Level certificate. The programme helped me to achieve a degree level in professional communication.
