Biography

Bakang Baloi is a molecular biology researcher at the University of Botswana working in vaccine development. His work uses plants as bio-reactors for the expression of biologically active proteins. He has previously worked as a safari guide, environmental consultant and cultural consultant for the movie industry. He is involved in fund raising for the not-for-profit organisation Letloa Development Trust in Botswana. Letloa Trust assists San communities with access to care and treatment for people living with TB and HIV/AIDS. It is also provides sustainable development strategies and leadership mentoring. He has a Master's degree in Applied Microbiology from the University of Botswana.
